Our mom was recently admitted to this facility, and we truly can’t thank the staff enough for the excellent care she has received. The nurses have been incredibly caring and compassionate, which has meant so much to our family. We’d also like to give special thanks to the physical therapy team—especially Russel and Kelsey—for their patience, encouragement, and dedication during our mom’s sessions. We are very grateful for everything they’ve done and would highly recommend this facility to others.

CNA s abusive and social workers always too busy to help and if you need to go to an appointment. Van needs new tires or no staff. Avoid putting a family member in the facility.

Coming to Cottonwood Canyon Healthcare where my Dad would be staying for an unknown period of time for his rehab was a very scary thought. Its not what we would have wanted but we knew it was for his own good. First impressions always stick so for my Family and I it was a huge relief when we encountered an environment where everyone was always ready to help and answer questions and were always making sure my dad and my family was taken care of, everyone always made us feel like family, we were never afraid of asking for help. When my Dad first arrived he couldn’t sit up on his own, couldn’t speak well, was very confused and couldn’t eat on his own or go to the bathroom on his own, and was at high risk of falling, so for us it was a scary thought to think he was staying at a place where others would take care of him, it’s never the same when we as a family can’t take care of our family members. Our worries faded when we were told my dad would never be by himself, for the first month or so we was One-on-one and there was never an incident where he got hurt or was neglected. The nurses and CNA’s always made sure he was taken care of I want to give a shout out to everyone who was a huge part in my Dad’s recovery, the reason why my Dad only had to be here a few days short of two months, everyone from The reception to administration therapists CNA’s and nurses, maintenance and cafeteria and Im sure i will miss some as I can’t remember everyone’s names but for now these are the people I want to give a shout out to Eileen from the kitchen, the receptionist Aracely, Liz, Rawan and Veronica from activities, Hair stylist Maru, Mina, Athalia, Diane, Arlene, Nadine, Hunter and Teresa from Administration, CNA’s: Liliana, Cisli, Cesar, Sama, Karla, Jessica, Jacqueline, Anahi, Guimel, Sergio, Vanessa H, Vanessa J, Shama, Roni. nurses: Nancy, Grace, Trisha, Christine, Marydeht. Maintenance and housekeeping: Manny, John, Reyna, Errol and Gabriela. Speech therapist Lisa, she helped my Dad with his speech, he could barely say a word or remember much of anything, and of course the magical team who gave their all for my Dad’s rehab and physical therapy, The team who made it possible for my Dad to go home today, physical therapist Chad, Kelsey, Kayla, Laura, Daniel and Russell. Thank you very much to everyone including all those who I might have forgotten their names. My family and I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you for making us feel like family. We will definitely miss you all

Cottonwood Canyon helped me through a lot, I am so happy here, I will be coming back to visit you guys! The food is great. Thank you to Aracely, Diane, and all the nurses here. You guys are so nice to me, Dr Pietila helped me as well thank you all, I will miss you guys and I will be sending you guys a Christmas card! I love you all! You guys are the best Rehab Facility in El Cajon I will recommend you guys to my family and friends.

Worse place to leave ur loves one they don’t care for them as they should and they ignore the patient needs

The whole team is excellent! Always on point, respectful and loving.The facility is really clean and the turkey dinner was awesome. Eileen from the kitchen is one of the best. Receptionist are very helpful! The CNAs and Nurses do a very good job awelI, I will most definitely recommend this place to my loved ones. I am really happy that I was able to experience this professional facility! Thank you very much for all your help! Edit: I had to come back and add on some more stuff, without these people, this place would not be what it is in a highly professional level. I want to give a special shout out to Tianna, Sharyqeen, Marydeht, Trisha, Katie, Esteban, Aracely and Anabel. Everyone is really really awesome but these stand out the MOST!! Everyone in the facility treats me very nicely, the food is amazing. The CNAs help me and they are very kind to me. The Rehab team are amazing as well, they help me walk everyday. Thank you so much!!

Understaffed long periods to wait for the call light the food was not nasty the facility cut a lot of things that the clients needed due to budget cuts old building needs new plumbing toilets are always backed up

You guys are the best, we recommend this place. The best rehab team, thank you so much Russell and Laura for helping me get better, look at me now I’m doing great! We do plan to come back and visit once in a while. The receptionist Aracely, Aly and Anabel are all cutie pies and are very fantastic! This is the best nursing home in El Cajon! They saved my son Carlos, thank you very much!!

Everyone at Cottonwood is very professional, kind, and caring. There is so much more I want to say, you guys are above and beyond, attention to detail from every person from the cook the Queen Bee Eileen. Physical therapy helped me get better, I started off from no walking to walking around and dancing around. Whether it’s day or night the level of care doesn’t change, there is no place that’s comparable to this place. Incredible positive environment. Sweet receptionist to the whole building, everyone is so sweet. So many layers like it’s cake that adds up to a delicious sweet tasty cake is what I define for this facility! I could go on and on and every detail I could this place is amazing. I would want to give a shout-out to Deidre the CNA, every single charge nurse, Mina she’s so warm, her million dollar smile brings me joy and she brings in the sun. This place is the top of the food chain. This is like when Dorothy clicks her heels in the wizard of oz “there is no place like home” this is how I feel here. I love this place, I will miss you guys. The staff is number one in their work habits and they’re good people to us they are family and we love them very much and the staff is beautiful and the work they do here, top notch workers and deserve a raise! I love all you guys!!

The receptionist at the front desk, Aracely, was a true highlight of every visit. Her warm demeanor and constant smile created an inviting atmosphere from the moment I walked in. Aracely made each visit seamless with her attentiveness and genuine helpfulness. Nuestra experiencia como familia fue muy buena, mi padre ingresó ahí por dificultades para comer, el terapeuta de la garganta lo sacó adelante hasta que volvió a comer de manera normal, también llegó con problemas del corazón y el equipo de enfermería siempre estuvo comprometido al bienestar y atención de la recuperación y estabilidad de mi padre . Excelentes terapeutas de la garganta y físicos, enfermeros de día y de noche, mil gracias. La gestora Mina y Ana trabajadora social a cargo del caso de mi padre, gracias a Dios por ustedes, hicieron posible la recuperación de mi papá. Nosotros somos mexicanos y nos atendieron muy muy bien, gracias!! Siempre agradecidos con este gran equipo de Cottonwood.

The staff members are more than professional. The care each and everyone showed on a daily basis was wonderful and made my 2 month stay very pleasant.

Fantastic!! I can’t say enough good things about this facility! The entire nursing staff is absolutely wonderful! So kind, compassionate, and dedicated to providing, excellent care. The CNAs go above and beyond, always making sure I was taken care of! Even the cleaning staff is incredibly helpful and devoted to their work. The level of care and kindness here is truly exceptional! The administrator Hunter is very hands-on, and easy to talk too! He makes sure things run smoothly. It’s such a welcoming, supportive environment, and I’m beyond grateful for all the amazing people here!

quiero comentar que es un buen lugar para rehabilitar, mi papa entro ahí porque no podía comer no pasaba ningún alimento, ni nada de liquido pero a las dos semana y madia el el terapeuta Adam lo saco adelante, su trabajo es extraordinario felicidades por su gran trabajo gracias Adam; también damos gracias a Mina es la gestora del lugar es muy amable y a estado al pendiente de todo el proceso de mi papa muchísimas gracias Mina, gracias a Ana la trabajadora social muy amable muy dedicada en su función mil gracias por dedicarse de esa manera a sacar adelante a los pacientes muchísimas gracias a todo el personal a las enfermeras les felicito hacen buen trabajo

It’s a great place if you like to deal with staff members who like to pass the buck, and always have this so called list they claim they put you on it’s bull it’s just so you think there concern & attend to your needs, grooming that will never happen. If you happen to have the bad luck! don’t fall for this list because you’ll never get to the top. I wondered who’s desk I would have to do adance to get on the top of this so call-list of importance. I can’t say enough good things about Cottonwood Canyon! Our residents and family members always have a good experience. It’s clean and their patients are well cared for.

I can’t thank the rehab and nursing teams enough for getting me back on my feet. Before therapy, I couldn’t walk, but with their expertise and encouragement, I’m regaining my independence. Special thanks to All Physical Therapy specialist for motivating me through every exercise, and to Arlene for visiting me in the hospital and convincing me to come here for rehab.
